L-R: Zach Grossack, David Bakhski, Jodi Edmonds, Adam Grossack, Joel Wooldridge

David Bakhshi is one of the leading professionals in the UK, with numerous successes in domestic and international tournaments. He is also a highly successful bridge coach and teacher. See David’s EBU profile.

David has represented England at the World Team Olympiad (2004), the European Team Championships (2012 & 2014) and the Bermuda Bowl (2013 & 2015). Playing with Artur Malinowski he represented England in the Bermuda Bowl in 2019 and the team was very unlucky not to make the semi-finals. He and Tom Townsend played in the 2022 Bermuda Bowl reaching the quarter finals.

David also plays in many major tournaments around the World, and his International achievements include a bronze medal in the European Open Teams (2005), and a 6th place finish in the 2006 World Open Pairs (the highest placing by an English pair in over 30 years). More recently, David has won the NEC cup in Japan (2011), and was a runner-up in the Vanderbilt (2011), one of the most prestigious team events in USA.

Jodi Edmonds started playing bridge in University and has been an avid player ever since. She lives with her husband, german shepherd, and two cats in New York City. She also has two grown daughters, and since becoming an empty nester, has been able to devote much more time to bridge. During the COVID pandemic, Jodi began fielding teams for the online events, primarily the Alt and OCBL. She fielded her first live bridge teams in the 2022 World Bridge Series in Wroclaw, Poland, where she received a bronze medal for her women’s team. In 2023, Jodi’s team won Gold in the European Mixed Championships in Strausbourg, and at the same tournament, received a bronze metal in the mixed open teams. Outside of the table, she is an avid reader, enjoys traveling with her family (especially on their ski adventures), long walks in Central Park, and frequenting the theatre.

Adam Grossack is a professional bridge player from Newton Massachusetts, currently living in Brooklyn, NY. Adam loves all games, including poker, chess, and barbu, all three of which he streamed from his apartment during the Covid-19 lockdown on his twitch page. Also during Covid, Adam spent his days mountain biking and swimming, two of his favorite outdoor activities. His regular bridge partners include his fiancée, Emma Kolesnik, his brother Zach Grossack and his US Nationals partner, Larry Lebowitz.

Adam’s bridge accomplishments include winning five US national events and three junior gold medals. He credits his “bridge family” from Boston MA, who developed his bridge game from an early age. Additionally, Adam and Zach credit Michael Rosenberg for much of their development as bridge players as Michael was the pair’s coach and mentor in the junior training program.

Zach Grossack is known far and wide for his debilitating shyness at the bridge table, both in demeanor, as well as in the bidding. Hopefully, playing bridge across the pond can cure him of such maladies…

Anyone who knows Zach will know this is just about the opposite of how he operates. Zach recently became the ACBLs youngest Player of the Year, to go along with being the youngest Grand Life Master the ACBL. Zach is a professional bridge player based in Boston, who spends his days playing with students and teaching bridge online when not competing at a bridge tournament.

Joel Wooldridge is a professional bridge player and instructor. He started playing when he was 9 years old, and has been playing ever since. He is a multiple national and junior champion. In the World circuit, his best showing is a 2nd in the Bermuda Bowl in Veldhoven. Currently, he lives in Jackson Heights with his wife and dog. His favorite card game, aside from bridge, is Hanabi. Joel enjoys watching anime, cartoons, and television series. Some of his favorites are “The basketball that Kuroko plays”, “Rick and Morty”, and “Better call Saul”.
