Scoring is by a combination of IMPs and ‘Point-a-Board’. There are 50 Victory Points available – 30 for the IMPs and 20 for Point-a-Board.
The normal IMP score for the 10-board match is converted to Victory Points on the scale below, with a maximum of 30.

Each board is then assessed as a win, tie or loss according to the actual points scored. Any positive difference counts as a win and earns 2 VPs (with no VPs for the losing team); a difference of 0 is a tie and earns 1 VP.
A maximum of 20 VPs may be gained from the Point-a-Board element in each 10-board match. These are added to the IMP VPs to give a possible maximum total of 50 in each match.
